This item is a Yin Yang friendship pendant, where one person wears each half. There are hollow-back pewter pendants measuring 1 inch long. The item comes with 2 22 inch ball chain necklaces; one silver and one black. This is an ideal item for two people that have a close bond to one another. The Yin Yang symbol is sometimes also called the Tai Chi symbol. Tai-Chi in turn comes from I-Ching which is the foundation of Chinese philosophy. The Yin Yang has a black and white part. The outer circle represents "everything", while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (black) and "yang" (white), which cause everything to happen. Neither symbol can exist without the other.
