I purchased these platinum hoops recently and am very pleased with them. They are lightweight, so they can be slept in comfortably; the latching mechanism works well; they don't bother my sensitive ears; and they can be worn with silver, white gold, or other platinum jewelry. They're very versatile, particularly when you need to grab something and go. Most of the previous comments refer to the size of the earrings, so I will address that also. I don't think they're too small. They're large enough that they're noticeable, but they're perfect if you need/want a sophisticated but discreet earring. I disagree with the purchaser who said they are child-sized. Perhaps that reviewer either has very large earlobes or ears that were pierced very high up. I have several pairs of hoops much smaller than these that I wear comfortably. If in doubt, double check the millimeter size listed in the description and take a ruler and measure some hoops you already own (or a dime) for comparison. I think they're a great deal. I had the earrings sitting in my cart, and when the price was reduced to $99 I snapped them up. Precious metal prices have been very high lately, so I don't think the price is out of line.

Too small for my ears, had to return it. Although I think they are perfect for children since they have good clasps.
